About Jay Foard

Jay is an avid outdoorsman who holds undergraduate studies in biotechnology with a master’s from Duke University. He is from Florida having recently moved back after living 2 years in Seoul, South Korea.

Jay has many different interests but primarily focuses on biology (specifically molecular biology and biotech, specializing in chemical signals and signatures as it relates to mammal behavior and genetic coding), physics, business strategy, and technology.

Jay’s wife is from Peru and they both speak fluent Spanish. They enjoy travel and have lived in many interesting places, including India, Peru, Australia, Mexico, Turkey, and Thailand.

Jay is a professional Muay Thai fighter having trained under Oliver Gauthier at the Sit O Inter facility in Thailand. He is also a registered black belt with the Hapkido National Association of South Korea.

He spent months studying Buddhism at the Wat Ram Poeng Temple of Peace in Chiang Mai, Thailand, 2012 as research for his book Run your Body like a Business.

Along with his new young reader fiction novel series, Jay has several self-help books within his Suburban Survival Guide series.
